Around the time of Brexit, I joked about a “Pan-Celtic Union” of Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, dissolving the United Kingdom and leaving England independent. Lo and behold! A summit between ministers from Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland was announced with the goal of putting their countries on the path to independence from the UK. Get the Republic of Ireland involved, and maybe even Donald Trump would give the project his blessing. I bet he’d grant US recognition to the PCU in exchange for that golf course he wants to build.
